Tubular core chipboard, also known as tubular particleboard, is a type of engineered wood product that consists of wood particles or chips compressed and bonded together with adhesive resin to form a dense, solid panel. The term “tubular” refers to the presence of hollow cylindrical voids or tubes within the chipboard structure.
These voids or tubes are created during the manufacturing process by using specially designed machinery that injects air into the core of the chipboard while it is being formed. This results in a lighter weight panel compared to solid chipboard while maintaining strength and stability.
