ALLOY C276-Alloys Flanges

Alloy C-276 finds widespread application across various industries, including chemical and petrochemical processing, oil and gas, power generation, pharmaceuticals, pulp and paper production, and wastewater treatment. Its versatility allows for use in diverse applications such as stack liners, ducts, dampers, scrubbers, stack gas reheaters, heat exchangers, reaction vessels, evaporators, and transfer piping, particularly in highly corrosive environments. Renowned for its exceptional corrosion resistance, Alloy C-276 is suitable for environments ranging from moderately oxidizing to strongly reducing conditions. It demonstrates outstanding resistance to a range of corrosive agents including sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, formic acid, acetic acid, chlorides, solvents, wet chloride gas, hypochlorite, and chlorine solutions. However, its low chromium content limits its suitability for hot concentrated nitric acid environments.
